Liguria International (Italy) choses to participate at Flowers & HorTech Ukraine!

Liguria International s.c.p.a., a company belonging to the FI.L.S.E. (Finanziaria Ligure per lo Sviluppo Economico) group, was established in 2002 and is partly owned by the four Chambers of Commerce in Liguria.

Regional Law n° 28 of 13/08/2007 recognised Liguria International as a regional policy implementer in the internationalisation area and co-ordinator of the players in the local economic system.

The company works together with other regional policy implementers, especially as regards territorial marketing, tourism and agriculture, and closely co-ordinates with local authorities, trade associations, industrial districts and enterprise consortia. The company develops specific promotional programmes in the driving sectors of the Ligurian economy as directed by the Regional Council and in the framework of the agreements established with the Ministry for International Trade and the Italian Foreign Trade Institute.

At Flowers & HorTech Ukraine Liguria International will promote the Flower and plant sector from Liguria!

Date change Flowers & HorTech Ukraine 2012!!

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were forced to re-schedule the dates of Flowers & HorTech Ukraine 2012.

The dates will be changed from 3 – 5 April 2012 (Tuesday – Thursday) to 11 – 13 April 2012 (Wednesday – Friday).

This force-majeure circumstance is the result of an unexpected obligation of the International Exhibition Center to the Ukrainian state authorities.

Despite any possible inconvenience that this may cause, we were able to use this situation to move the exhibition to Pavilion 2 of the IEC. Pavilion 2 is the same pavilion that we used in 2011, Pavilion 2 is the best possible pavilion for the needs of Flowers & HorTech Ukraine.

Flowers & HorTech Ukraine & CIS 2012 inspired by Jan Aartsen!

The organizers of Flowers & HorTech Ukraine & CIS are very proud to announce a close co-operation with the well-known Master Flower Arranger; Jan Aartsen!

Jan Aartsen (Netherlands 1951) started working on the age of eleven for a flower business in Zutphen, (Netherlands), making up customers' orders after school. Within a fortnight, he had been bitten by the flower bug; the beautiful art of flower arranging made a powerful impression on him.

After elementary school, he attended the agriculture and horticulture high school in Twello, (Netherlands), the vocational floristry school in Utrecht (Netherlands) and higher training in Vught (Netherlands).

At the age of 19 he opened his own Flower Shop, the ‘Bloembinderij Jan Aartsen’ in Zutphen (Netherlands -1971-1996). During this period he was twice the Netherlands' Flower Arranging Champion (1977 and 1979).

Jan Aartsen sold his shop in 1996, after which he continued working under the name
“Organic Move” as a freelance Flower Arranger.

Jan Aartsen has wun many National –and International prizewinning contests, some highlights of his career include:

• Dutch Flower Arranging Champion, 1977 and 1979
• 6th in Interflora World Cup Flower Arranging, 1980 Melbourne – Australia
• Winner of ‘Adventsgesmuck’ 1988, Wesel, Germany
• Head Arranger at the horticultural fair ‘Floriant’, 1983-1995, Bemmel (Netherlands)
• Head arranger for the Dutch Pavilion at Flowers Moscow, 2002 Moscow - Russia
• Jury member for the Dutch flower arranging championship, Floriade 2002, the Netherlands
• Jury member for the 2003 Russian flower arranging championship, Moscow, Russia
• Decoration Rusprixaward 2010 and 2011, Noordwijk, The Netherlands
• Head Arranger Lemelerveld B(l)oeit 2011 and 2012, The Netherlands

During Flowers & HorTech Ukraine & CIS 2012 Jan Aartsen will be Head Arranger and responsible for floral arrangements and stand design of exhibitors as well as the 3-day demo program.

Ukraine GDP grows 7.2% in October.

Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 7.2 percent in October year-on-year, showing that the country has "broken the slide into economic abyss," Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said.

"The statistics show that the main indicators of socio-economic development in the first 10 months of 2011 are optimistic too," the prime minister added while opening a government meeting.

He said Ukraine has recovered from a severe recession.

The East European state's economy expanded 5.3 percent during the January-October period. The industrial production grew 8.2 percent, while the agricultural sector grew 16.2 percent.

Azarov said that the real estate and construction markets also showed signs of recovery.

Pension benefits and salary fund have grown significantly too, Azarov said.

He said that the national economy is expected to grow 4.7 percent this year and may expand 6.5 percent in 2012.

Royal Flowers signs contract for participation at Flowers & HorTech Ukraine 2012!

Royal Flowers was founded in 1991 with the opening of the first farm.
In 1994 Royal Flowers Inc. was established.

Royal Flowers Inc. is the sister company and sole importer and distributor for the North American market. Over the years the Royal Flowers Group group of enterprises has grown to include Royal Cargo, an international freight-forwarder, and the brands Royal Collection and Floral Works, which function as a flower procurement and quality control services.

"Flowers & HorTech Ukraine 2012 on course for growth".

After a very successful 2011 edition of Flowers & HorTech the sales campaign for 2012 has already started.

More than 160 companies from over 15 countries worldwide participated in the last edition of Flowers & HorTech Ukraine covering a total of 3.500 m2.

Many companies have already registered for the next edition which will take place from 3 – 5 April in the International Exhibition Center in Kiev.
